General overhaul, cleaning, reconstruction and assembly of the Rudolf-von-Beckerath-Organ at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Cincinnati, USA Ohio

Our team is currently on-site at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, where we have begun the first phase of a comprehensive overhaul of the Rudolf von Beckerath organ. The initial work involves carefully sorting and cleaning all organ components, using the original blueprints from our archives as a guide. Simultaneously, the assembly of the organ case and the mechanical action is underway. Any damaged or worn parts are being repaired directly on-site to preserve as much of the original structure as possible. In the next phase, new wind chests and pipes for additional stops will be manufactured in our Hamburg workshop. These new components will then be shipped to Cincinnati for final assembly. Once this is complete, the organ will be voiced and tuned to perfectly match the church’s superb acoustics. The project is being carried out in several stages and is scheduled to be completed by 2025.
